Blues on the Green has a long a storied history in Austin

This is the 32nd season for the concert series, which is the only concert event other than Austin City Limits Festival to take place in Zilker Park each year. What was once a summer-long bash has contracted over the years. After taking 2020 off due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the event returned in 2021 with with four shows booked on back to back dates in July and August. The August events that year were canceled due to the spike of the omicron variant of COVID-19.

Last year, BOTG launched its season with the two canceled shows in June, followed by another two-night stand in July.
