Paramount+ has revealed the release date for the upcoming Frasier reboot and shared first look images. The new 10-episode season of the revival will premiere on October 12th with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes streaming weekly every Thursday.

The Frasier reboot will see the titular Dr. Crane (Kelsey Grammer) returning to Boston (where he first was introduced to audiences in Cheers) after making a home in Seattle during its original 11-season run. According to the official synopsis, Crane will have “new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.”

Coming from writers Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces), the series co-stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, Frasier’s grown son with ex-wife Lilith (Bebe Neuwirth); Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew, David; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague at the university psychology department; and Jess Salguerio as Freddy’s roommate, Eve.

David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves won’t be returning as Frasier’s brother Niles and sister-in-law Daphne, respectively. However, Peri Gilpin and Bebe Neuwirth are both set to return as guest stars, reprising their respective roles as Frasier’s producer Roz and ex-wife Lilith.

As a preview for fans who don’t have a Paramount+ subscription, the first two episodes will also air on CBS at 9:15 p.m. ET/PT on October 17th.
