Franklin HS mariachi group to perform with Mexican singer Yuri
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Franklin High School’s mariachi program is scheduled to perform with renowned Mexican signer Yuri during her El Paso stop on her “Euforia” U.S. tour.
The performance is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the El Paso County Coliseum.
“The invitation comes on the heels of Franklin High School’s outstanding success at the 2024 UIL State Mariachi Festival, where the school’s mariachi group claimed the top honor. Competing against mariachi programs from across the state, Franklin High School secured a ‘Superior’ rating and a first division trophy, underscoring the program’s excellence and dedication,” according to a news release sent out by El Paso Independent School District.
