Frankie Valli’s son Emilio granted temporary restraining order against brother after alleged ‘threats’ to ‘harm or kill’ them
Frankie Valli’s son Emilio has been granted a temporary restraining order against his brother Francesco, The Post can confirm.
Emilio, 29, filed his request in Los Angeles on April 8, and it was granted by a judge on April 10.
In the filing, Emilio claimed that he and Frankie, 89, were threatened by Francesco when the 36-year-old allegedly attempted to break into his dad’s property on April 5.
Francesco “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” both Frankie and Emilio, which is “part of a pattern for the past several months,” the filing states.
Additionally, Emilio alleged that Francesco is “addicted to opiates.” Frankie was reportedly financially supporting Francesco, but will only continue to do so if Francesco enters a residential drug treatment program.
“Since cutting off [Francesco] financially, [Francesco’s] threats have escalated as well as the sale of personal property of our father, and increased attempts to access the property of our father,” the filing adds.
Francesco has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Frankie and Emilio’s homes, workplaces and vehicles.
A court hearing is scheduled for April 29.
On Wednesday, the singer’s rep told The Post: “Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues.”
The Four Seasons frontman has been married four times, and shares Emilio and Francesco with his third ex-wife, Randy Clohessy. (The exes are also parents of Emilio’s twin brother, Brando.)
Frankie and Clohessy married in 1984 and divorced in 2004.
He’s also dad to daughters Celia, Antonia and Francine with first ex-wife Mary Mandel, whom he divorced in 1971.
The “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” singer became stepfather to Celia, Mandel’s daughter from a previous relationship. Celia died in February 1980 during an accident. Six months later, Francine died from an accidental drug overdose at age 20, according to People.
Frankie was married to his second wife, Mary Ann Hannigan, from 1974 to 1982.
Frankie’s musical career and time with the Four Seasons was famously documented in the Broadway play “Jersey Boys.” Frankie’s granddaughter, Olivia, joined the cast in the role of her grandmother Mandel for a brief period in 2019.
The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical opened on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre in November 2005, and ended its record-breaking 11-year run in January 2017.
