Frankie Muniz Jokes About His 'Balding Head' 18 Years After His Golden Globes Nomination

Actor Frankie Muniz got very nostalgic — and candid — while watching the Golden Globes on Sunday night.

The Malcom in the Middle star jokingly pointed out on Twitter how he has aged since his own 2002 Golden Globe nomination for his starring role in the 2000 series, Malcom in the Middle.

“In 2002 I was nominated for a Golden Globe. In 2020, I’m just sitting here staring in the mirror at my balding head,” the 34-year-old tweeted.

Several fans flocked to Muniz’s tweet to show their support for him and his balding head.

“In 2020 I’m still watching Malcom in the Middle,” one Twitter user replied. Another user wrote, “This tweet should win a Golden Globe!”

Many fans has more humorous replies. “Life is unfair,” several users wrote in reference to the hit show’s theme song.

Some users took the pun route. “Malcolm in the Middle Age,” one user said, while another replied, “Malcolm in the Mirror.”

While Muniz did not take home the Golden Globe In 2002, his nomination marked the second in a row for his role as Malcom, which he played for six years.

In September, Muniz opened up to PEOPLE about his memory loss following his child acting career.

“I only know what it’s like to be me. Or have my brain,” Muniz said. “So, I’m only reminded of how bad my memory is when people I see, they come to me and go, ‘Oh, you remember when we did this? Remember we went on this trip to this country?’ And I have no recollection of it, but in my head, it’s not like I feel bad or sad about it.”

Instead of trying to remember the past, he’s more attentive to what the future holds.

“I only know what it’s like to be me and if I don’t let it bother me, I just try to live the most fulfilling, best life I can,” says Muniz. “I really try to take advantage of my time. And I’ve got a lot in my life.”

The biggest person in his life being his fiancée Paige Prince, who he proposed to in November 2018 while at the Lantern Fest at the Pinal Fairgrounds & Event Center in Casa Grande, Arizona.

“Paige and I, we don’t spend a minute apart. I don’t get bored of her,” says Muniz. “[The wedding is] going to happen pretty soon. Well within a year, within 2019.”

It has not been reported than Muniz and Price have tied the knot.
