Frank Ocean Cancels Release of New Vinyl, Refunds Orders

Frank Ocean has canceled the release of a vinyl featuring an unnamed new song, which went on sale in February. A few months earlier, Frank had announced the 7" release of a song called “Little Demon.” The February announcement suggested the vinyl would feature the unnamed new song instead. (An Arca remix of “Little Demon” debuted on episode 9 of blonded RADIO in late 2019.) Now, the vinyl has been canned altogether.

“Due to the events of this year, Frank will no longer be releasing the song that you purchased on vinyl,” reads an email sent to those who bought the vinyl, including Pitchfork staff. “We will be refunding your purchase of this item and any additional items in your order will begin shipping next week.” Pitchfork has emailed Frank’s representatives for more information.

Before November’s election, Frank Ocean hosted a voter registration drive on his Blonded website.
