Frank Langella To Co-Star In HBO’s LBJ Movie ‘All The Way’
Frank Langella is set to co-star opposite Bryan Cranston in All The Way, HBO’s adaptation of the Tony-winning Robert Schenkkan play. Directed by Jay Roach and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the film covers Lyndon Baines Johnson (Cranston) from the moment the assassination of John F. Kennedy made LBJ the 36th president of the United States and through a turbulent first year that included leveraging his power to pass Civil Rights legislation in Congress up to his landslide re-election victory in 1964. Paradigm-repped Langella will play LBJ mentor Senator Richard Russell. (The Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, DC, is named for the famed Senator).
Langella starred in the just wrapped feature comedy Youth In Oregon, and returns to FX drama series The Americans, which shoots in the fall.
All The Way is produced for HBO by Amblin Television, Tale Told Productions and Moon Shot Entertainment, with Spielberg, Darryl Frank & Justin Falvey, Robert Schenkkan and Cranston executive producing and James Degus co-executive producing.
