Oct. 17—"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" drew record crowds to theaters last weekend but the Fox Theater is ready to rock with one of the most iconic concert films.

"Stop Making Sense," the 1984 film featuring Talking Heads, will screen Nov. 10 as part of the theater's latest Flix season.

Captured over three nights by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December 1983, the film is regarded by many as the greatest concert film of all time.

Featuring David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison along with an ensemble of supporting musicians, the film has been completely restored for its 40th anniversary.

It includes performances of "Psycho Killer," "Burning Down the House," "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)," "Once in a Lifetime," "Genius of Love" and many more.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the screening at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the theater, 2001 H St.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at thebakersfieldfox.com, by visiting the box office (10 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays) or calling 661-324-1369.
