Fox News Settles Gender Discrimination Lawsuit With Former Reporter Diana Falzone
Fox News has settled a gender discrimination lawsuit brought by former reporter Diana Falzone, her lawyer told TheWrap Friday.
“We resolved Diana Falzone’s case against Fox News and she no longer works there,” said Nancy Erika Smith, who declined to say anything further about the nature of the settlement. The news was first reported by CNN.
A representative for Fox News did not immediately respond to request for comment on the matter.

Falzone sued the network after she said she was punished for publishing this piece on FoxNews.com about her struggle with endometriosis. Falzone said in her complaint that shortly after the piece was published, she received news from the network that she would no longer be allowed to appear on any Fox News platform and her supervisor suggested that she look for another job.
“Fox News never banned her male counterparts who have discussed their personal health issues on air. Indeed, those men saw their careers advance,” said Smith in a statement at the time according to CNN.
Falzone, once a frequent presence on the network, was also robbed of a major scoop: the Stormy Daniels story. Falzone filed a report that would have been the first piece on the matter in October 2016, but Fox News killed it, according to CNN. The accusations were later broken by the Wall Street Journal in January.
