Fox News Host Britt McHenry Sues Co-Host Tyrus For Sexual Harassment

Britt McHenry and George Murdoch, also known as Tyrus, have been hosting 'UN-PC' on Fox News for less than a year yet there is already a law suit between the two.

According to USAToday, McHenry wrote in her lawsuit that she was "crudely sexually harassed" by Murdoch through "sexually inappropriate comments to her in person, and also via text message."

She is also suing Fox News stating that the outlet "punished the victim and rewarded the harasser" by "stripping her of professional opportunities while simultaneously promoting" Murdoch.

According to the suit, she initially "politely replied to his grossly sexualized texts with friendly but non-sexual responses" out of fear of Murdoch's violent tendencies and strong desire to keep her show.

When she finally gained the courage to report the incidents to Fox News when Murdock verbally abused her in front of a guest in April. McHenry had reported his abuse twice before to the show's executive producer, Jennifer Rauchet, and was ignored both times. The third time was slightly different.

This time she was threatened. The suit states that Rauchet "responded by telling her not to complain -- that she was 'replaceable,' and that Fox News never wanted her. When Ms. McHenry tried to continue the conversation, Ms. Rauchet physically walked out on her."

Since the incident, McHenry noted her suit that she had been "effectively frozen out by Fox News management" while Murdock has gone on to host 50 times and even received his own talk show titled 'Nuff Said.'

The suit also states that Fox News began an investigation on her instead of Murdock. They wanted to catch her lying about the allegations so that they would havegrounds to fire her. The firm was also hired to negotiate her firing.

USA Today received a statement from lawyer's media coordinator, Marcelino Valencap, on behalf of McHenry.

"The last thing I wanted to do was filed (sic) this lawsuit," McHenry said via Valencap. "But I had to stand up for what's right for myself and for women."

Valencap also provided a message from McHenry's lawyer, Lisa Bloom.

“Britt McHenry’s bombshell story should not be happening at Fox News in 2019," she said. "I am proud to represent her as she demands justice.”

Murdoch's attorney Tom Clare also made his own statement claiming that McHenry's statements are false and that they plan to fight back.

"He looks forward to having a public forum in the court system to clear his name from the smear campaign that has been waged against him in the media," Clare said provided by USA Today.
