Fox Nabs Private Eye Comedy Starring Anders Holm As ‘Workaholics’ Eyes End

Fox has handed a put pilot commitment to Pigeon, a half-hour single-camera comedy toplined by Anders Holm, one of the stars of Comedy Central’s long-running comedy Workaholics. The cable series is in the middle of a two-season pickup. There has been no announcement and Comedy Central is not commenting but I hear the upcoming seventh season of Workaholics is expected to be its last. The cast have been allowed to take new series gigs, and Pigeon has Holm in first position.

Written by Lee Eisenberg & Gene Stupnitsky, Pigeon centers on Simon Pigeon (Anders Holm) is a private eye who is uniquely suited to detective work but ill-equipped to manage his personal life.

Eisenberg, Stupnitsky and Holm executive produce with Holm’s manager Isaac Horne. The project hails from ABC Studios where Eisenberg and Stupnitsky had been under overall deals.

Holm, who has been recurring on The Mindy Project, is re-teaming with his Workaholics cohorts for the Netflix movie Game Over, Man! He is repped by WME, Avalon Management and attorney Jeff Endlich.

Former The Office executive producers Eisenberg and Stupnitsky also co-created and executive produced the HBO comedy series Hello Ladies. They are repped by WME and Mosaic.
