Fox’s ‘Miss Universe’ Ratings Fall 18% From Last Year’s Competition, Tying All-Time Low

Fox’s “Miss Universe” fell 18% in TV ratings from last year’s broadcast on Sunday, tying the competition’s all-time low in the key demo.

With a 0.9 rating, the show was even with the previous low set by 2013’s “Miss Universe,” which aired on a Saturday in November. Last night’s 3.8 million total viewers tally is slightly above the 2013 telecast, which put up 3.754 million, meaning Sunday’s show marks the competition’s second smallest audience on record.

Meanwhile, “Supergirl” kicked off The CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event with season highs in both the key demo (0.6) and total viewers (1.7 million), and the best numbers the Melissa Benoist-led series has seen since its episode from last year’s crossover special. It was also the network’s best total viewer tally in the 8 p.m. Sunday slot since the series premiere of “Batwoman” earlier this season.
