Fox Buys Private Police Force Drama From Len Wiseman & ‘POI’ Producer

producer on CBS’ Person Of Interest, and Sleepy Hollow co-creator/executive producer Len Wiseman. Inspired by the July New York Times Magazine article, “Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans” by David Amsden (read it here), the show explores what happens when an enigmatic tech billionaire makes a deal with a bankrupt, dying city to provide a privately owned-and-operated police force. Slack executive produces with Wiseman, who is attached to direct. Also executive producing the project, which has a script commitment, are David Bernardi, Dennis Kim and Todd Hoffman.

Slack, whose series credits also include Lie To Me and In Plain Sight, is repped by UTA and attorney Bruce Gellman. Underworld filmmaker Wiseman, repped by CAA, recently directer the pilot for upcoming Fox series Lucifer.
