Based out of LA, Gold and Schwachenwald report to Fox Entertainment Scripted Programing President Michael Thorn, while Rowe reports to Gold. All three have started.

The move comes as Fox looks to supercharge in-house scripted following a year in which it has made shows including Joel McHale’s Animal Control and struck deals with the likes of 50 Cent, Academy Award winning filmmaker Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and writer-producer Justin Adler, amongst others.

Gold has kicked off his second spell with Fox, having overseen the network’s drama slate and developed Prison Break and Bones during his time as Senior Vice President, Series Development around two decades ago. He has since worked for the likes of Deuce Three Productions, Parkes/Macdonald and Paramount Channel, helping develop Yellowstone and Waco for the latter.

Schwachenwald was formerly Senior Vice President of Physical Production at Paramount Television Studios, where she oversaw shows in development and production including Fatal Attraction for Paramount+ and Cross for Amazon Prime Video. She was previoiusly Senior Vice President of Physical Production for Skydance Television, managing series in various stages of production and development including Grace and Frankie and Reacher, as well as co-productions Condor and Jack Ryan.

Rowe is promoted from VP Animation for Fox Entertainment, where she helped develop adult animations Krapopolis and Grimsburg via Fox’s deal with Dan Harmon. Her place in animation has been taken by Dave Jargowsky, who joined Fox around a year ago.

“In strategically building out Fox Entertainment Studios, we’ve been diligent in surveying the landscape to develop creator and producer-friendly models that embrace both our content and business objectives,” said Thorn. “Ted, Julie and Khoby are a seasoned team with deep relationships throughout the global community that give us a strong foundation to evolve our business as it continues to grow.”

The news comes a day after Deadline revealed Fox’s debut greenlight to a scripted series co-produced with an international studio, in the shape of psychological crime drama Murder in a Small Town from Jeff Wachtel’s Future Shack Entertainment and Canada’s Sepia Films. This came several weeks after Fox announced scripted pacts with producers in the UK and France, and subsequently Canada, with more incoming as it eyes further international tie-ups.
