Did FOX accidentally air an F-bomb during the Foster Farms Bowl broadcast?

FOX may have accidentally aired a curse word during the broadcast of the Foster Farms Bowl.

The network had cameras in the Arizona locker room before the game and it sounded like coach Rich Rodriguez led a pregame chant that included an F-bomb.

You can hear the chant below at your own risk.

It certainly sounded like a curse word, but some on Twitter are saying the Arizona coaches and players may have said the word “funk.” Apparently Purdue coach Jeff Brohm was telling his team to “bring the funk” before the game.

We’ll let you be the judge, but even if that is the case (which seems kind of hard to believe; how would Arizona know about Purdue’s pregame speech?), it’s something that could have been avoided. It’s not like FOX went live to the Arizona locker room. The producers pulled a clip from a scene that was previously recorded in the locker room and integrated it into the broadcast. Somebody should have had the foresight to know that shouldn’t be part of a national broadcast.

Nevertheless, it was an addition to a speech Rodriguez has used for his team before games for years.

And FOX apparently attributed the gaffe to a “glitch.”

An easily avoidable “glitch.”
