Four Volusia, Flagler businesses make Yelp’s first-ever list of Top 100 Florida Restaurants

Yelp has created its first-ever Top 100 Florida Restaurants list and four businesses in Volusia and Flagler counties, including two in Daytona Beach, have made the roster.

The Red Bud Café in Daytona Beach placed the highest, landing at No. 13. The popular crowd-sourced review site noted how the family-run cafe creates dishes fusing cuisines from their native Yugoslavia along with Italy, Australia and the U.S.

"Thank you Lord, and thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement, hugs, prayers, recommendations, and even criticism," said manager Gordana Andjelic-Davila, who is the daughter of owner Jovana Andjelic, in a social media post.  "All has helped us grow on this journey,"

Along with Red Bud Café, Millie's Restaurant and Catering in Daytona Beach takes spot No. 71 with locally sourced food being their staple. Next, Santorini in DeLand holds No. 87 serving authentic Greek cuisine. And then rounding out the list at No. 100 is La Crèperie Kafè, the family-owned Palm Coast restaurant specializing in French cuisine.

For its first-ever Top 100 list for Florida restaurants, Yelp noted that they "identified businesses in the restaurant's category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews between Jan. 1, 2017, and April 13, 2022. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of April 20, 2022."

Daytona Beach also recently topped a similar list with Sun Viking Lodge taking home the prize for TripAdvisor's Top 25 Hotels for family-friendly accommodations. The beachfront inn, located at 2411 S. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach Shores, landed in first place thanks to the employees, the hotel’s general manager said. The Lodge has a waterslide, indoor and outdoor pools, a playground, a game room, shuffleboard and a fitness center.
