Four State Comic Con returns to Hagerstown April 27-28

For the third straight year, Four State Comic Con will return to the Hagerstown Community College Athletic, Recreation and Community Center, 11400 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown, on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be comics, cards, pop culture collectables and more than 150 vendors and more than 50 artists bringing a diverse array of activities for the entire family.

Pop culture icons Robert Bumpass (the voice of Squidward on the Nickelodeon hit show SpongeBob Squarepants) and Tara Sands (the voice of one of the original Pokemon, Bulbasaur, on the classic Pokemon animated show) will be featured.

Other pop culture celebrities include:

  • Jim Krut, the "helicopter zombie" from the legendary movie Dawn of the Dead.

  • James Ellsworth, WWE Wrestling star

  • Jurrasic Park Jeep

  • Charm City Ghostbusters

  • Popular Cosplay guests

The convention’s main focus remains comic books. The show will feature Marvel Comics and DC Comics artist Geof Isherwood.

Other comic book celebrities include:

  • Gus Mauk, cover artist for GI Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Vampirella, Thundercats and many more

  • Nick Davis, writer and occasional artist on Night Guardians

  • Jason Seaux, artist for Paranoia Comics (Necro-Man and Invisible)

  • Timothy Fling, independent comic book creator for Earth Dog Studios
