Formula 1 Star Fernando Alonso Responds to Apparent Taylor Swift Shoutout After Relationship Rumors

Taylor Swift's new album The Tortured Poets Department has prompted countless questions about which of her past relationships she's referencing in various lyrics. On the song "imgonnagetyouback," she seemingly alludes to a rumored relationship she had with Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso.

Swift and Alonso were first romantically linked last April before she went public with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. On "imgonnagetyouback," she croons, "I'm an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch, then ran and hid." Alonso is a driver for the Aston Martin F1 team.

After the song came out, Alonso took to the official Aston Martin TikTok page to address the situation, and he did it without uttering a word. In the clip, he's scrolling on an iPad while the song plays through the Aston Martin lyric. Alonso simply looked at the camera and put his finger over his mouth.

Alonso preserving the mystery around anything that might have happened between them is in line with his protocol when dating rumors first surfaced last year. Though he declared publicly at the time that he likes to keep his personal life private, he seemingly had fun with the rumors, posting a TikTok set to Swift's song "Karma" and another one of himself lifting 22-kilogram dumbbells with "22" playing in the clip.

Swift, meanwhile, is riding the wave of her latest album release and is continuing her wildly successful Eras Tour throughout this year. Only time will tell if Travis Kelce becomes a subject on her next album.
