Former WWE Superstar Kelly Kelly Gives Birth to Twins

Ex-WWE Superstar Kelly Kelly has welcomed two adorable twins into the world!

Barbie Blank – known to the WWE Universe as Kelly Kelly – and husband, Joe Cobra, are on cloud nine as son Jaxon Matthew and daughter Brooklyn Marie entered their lives on Sunday, September 10. The new mom took to social media to announce the joyous news:

In a September 18 feature with PEOPLE, Kelly Kelly revealed that both children are happy and healthy, and the love is strong between the new members of her family. For anyone in the WWE Universe curious about the meaning behind the names, Jaxon and Brooklyn, Kelly Kelly told PEOPLE that she and her husband wanted to give the kids "strong names" starting with the first letters of their own names, J and B.

Kelly Kelly Reveals Her Delivery Didn't Go As Expected

Kelly Kelly confessed that her plans to give birth naturally didn't work out when her doctors told her at the 38-week mark that she would need a C-section. Thankfully, it was a relatively easy pivot for the new mom! As it turns out, even a surprising change of plans is doable when you have a great team around you.

"Our doctor and the hospital were so great to us, accommodating what they could to align with my birth plan," Kelly revealed. "When the babies were born, they were immediately taken above the operating curtain to allow Joe to hold them and for me to finally meet them and give them a kiss. Joe cut both of their umbilical cords and the three of them went to the recovery room while I was stitched up."

There's nothing like the first time a new mother holds her children – and for Kelly Kelly, the moment exceeded all expectations.

"My heart immediately melted," Kelly confessed. "I had been waiting nine months for this very moment, imagining and dreaming about getting to hold my babies for the first time. There is nothing to describe the love that I feel for my son and daughter."

The WWE Universe is all too familiar with WWE Superstars dealing with the curveballs that can accompany pregnancy – Carmella and Corey Graves have famously dealt with adversity throughout their birthing journey. We're crossing our fingers that the news of Kelly Kelly's twins can rub off on Alexa Bliss and Carmella, both due later in 2023.

Will Kelly Kelly's Kids See Their Mom on WWE TV?

Unsurprisingly, with such deep roots performing in WWE, Kelly Kelly admitted she can't wait to tell her children that "their mom was one badass wrestler" and looks forward to the day when she can show them her old matches and memorabilia! Of course, Kelly Kelly proved she still has WWE Superstar DNA in her system when she revealed her ultimate goal.

"Hopefully I'll get to wrestle one more time with them sitting front row, cheering mommy on!" she exclaimed.

With the rumor mill currently working overtime, thanks to The Rock's recent re-emergence in WWE, there's plenty of room for some Kelly Kelly comeback speculation!

With the birth of her twins behind her and healthy motherhood on the horizon, Kelly Kelly is setting the standard for other women in WWE – Alexa Bliss and Carmella are currently expecting children later this year as well. Fortunately for them, Kelly Kelly can be invaluable as the two Superstars prepare to become first-time mothers. To take this further, does the WWE Universe dare to dream of a faction composed entirely of mommy butt-kickers? (We're sure Becky Lynch wouldn't mind).

When Did Kelly Kelly Last Compete in WWE?

Unofficially retired since 2012, Kelly Kelly was on top of the WWE women's division in the summer of 2011 when she enjoyed a 103-day reign as WWE Divas Champion. The talented Superstar has made sporadic appearances since 2012, highlighted by memorable appearances in the 2020 and 2022 Royal Rumble matches. As you can tell by Kelly Kelly's all-smiles reaction to her 2022 Royal Rumble cameo, she still has plenty of enthusiasm for the WWE Universe (as shown in the above video). Who would have thought that Kelly would welcome twins into the world less than two years later? Time flies, doesn't it?
