Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has called out Gunther for not facing him in a match. Gunther, the Ring General, recently lost his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40 after holding it for a record reign of 666 days.
Since losing the title, he has participated in the King of the Ring tournament. As far as Bobby Lashley is concerned, he recently lost an opportunity to become the number one contender for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Undisputed Championship against LA Knight.
Following the loss, Lashley has also participated in the King of the Ring tournament and has sent a message to Gunther. On the recent edition of WWE’s The Bump, Lashley talked about wanting to face Gunther. He also mentioned The Ring General backing out from the challenge in the past.

While Gunther has advanced into the tournament’s second round, it will be interesting to see if Bobby Lashley gets his wish and faces off with Gunther in the King of the Ring tournament.
WWE’s Sheamus explains why he doesn’t want to wrestle Gunther
In the latest edition of WWE RAW, the first round of qualifiers for the King of the Ring tournament took place. Sheamus faced off against Gunther; however, the Celtic Warrior once again came up short against Gunther.
Following the loss, Sheamus sent out a message to the fans that they shouldn’t expect a fourth match between him and Gunther. Recently, Sheamus took to Twitter to explain why he won’t be facing the former Intercontinental Champion in a fourth match.

With Sheamus losing his opportunity to win the tournament, the Ring General has advanced to the second round and will face the winner of Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston. The match between Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston is set to take place this weekend at WWE’s live event show.
