Former WWE Champion AJ Styles might make his long-awaited return on SmackDown. Styles was last seen on the Friday Night SmackDown episode aired on September 22. He fell victim to an attack at the hands of The Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa backstage. Styles was assisting John Cena in taking on the team of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

Several weeks ago, various reports suggested that The Phenomenal One would make his return to the blue brand. However, it didn’t come to fruition. Now, it appears that AJ Styles is finally set to make his long-awaited return after a recent advertisement on WWE.com.

The latest pop-up advertisement on the official WWE website features many of SmackDown’s top names for the episode, including LA Knight, Charlotte Flair, the Street Profits, Bobby Lashley, and IYO SKY. Notably, AJ Styles is also featured in the advertisement, seemingly confirming his return for the Tribute To The Troops show.

With WWE hosting its annual Tribute To The Troops, an event dedicated to honoring the armed forces, the return of AJ Styles for the show adds an extra layer of anticipation. It will be interesting to see if Styles also makes his return on the blue brand.

Could AJ Styles be Roman Reigns’ next challenger for WWE Universal Championship?

As AJ Styles gears up for his return on WWE’s annual Tribute To The Troops show, speculation is rife about his potential comeback on SmackDown. Given Styles’ history of getting attacked by The Bloodline a few months ago, fans are contemplating the possibility of him going after the dominant faction.

Speculations are running wild among fans that Styles could face Roman Reigns, potentially setting up a match at the Royal Rumble next year. However, it’s important to note that Randy Orton also made a return last week on SmackDown, sending a clear message to The Bloodline and Roman Reigns.

With both Styles and Orton in the mix, it will be intriguing to see who emerges as the next potential challenger for Roman Reigns and his coveted WWE Universal Championship.
