Jason Collier, the former police chief of Stinnett, Texas, was arrested in January 2021 and charged with tampering with a governmental record with the intent to defraud. His arrest came days after his then-girlfriend, Cecily, made a public social media post accusing Jason of lying to her about his marital status, then sending her phony court documents to persuade her that his marriage to his wife, Opal, had been annulled. Jason denies sending Cecily a fake annulment document. In her social media post that went viral, Cecily also stated that in addition to asking her to marry him, she found out that he was also seeing another woman and had asked her to marry him too. Jason, who admits to simultaneously dating multiple women, adamantly denies asking either woman to marry him. Jason says that for a time, he was able to hide his extramarital affairs from Opal by pretending to be working undercover in other areas of the state. “I’d been in law enforcement for 22 years, and I had a really good career,” he says. “She knew that and believed my story.” What does Jason say he told Opal and convinced her to say to Cecily when Cecily contacted Opal online? Find out in part one of this two-part Dr. Phil, “The Police Chief, His Wife, And His 6 Girlfriends: The Exclusive Interview,” airing Tuesday. Then, on Wednesday’s conclusion, “Exclusive: Texas Police Chief Leading Secret Triple Life Speaks,” Opal has filed for divorce from Jason, who still faces criminal charges for allegedly faking annulment documents and giving them to Cecily, a claim which he denies. What does Jason say when Dr. Phil asks him why he has a new dating profile online?
