Former SiriusXM Podcast Exec Natalie Mooallem Latest To Join Hatch; Audio Series ‘Pillow Talk’ First Project

EXCLUSIVE: Hatch said Monday that it has hired former SiriusXM podcast executive Natalie Mooallem as VP Content, part of a push into original programming at the sleep-wellness app company. She becomes the latest hire from the entertainment industry as Hatch ramps up its content offerings; most recently, former Netflix executive Eric Pallotta joined as chief marketing officer.

Mooallem will oversee Hatch’s exclusive content, entertainment and audio strategy across its baby, kid and adult businesses, reporting to Hatch CEO and co-founder Ann Crady Weiss. The first project to launch under Mooallem’s auspices is Pillow Talk, a hosted audio series designed for, as the company says, that “ready-for-bed, wind-down time entertaining without the intrusion of screens, doomscrolling or blue light.”

The new series features six shows spanning true crime, sports, history, travel, comedy, and Internet culture. It is available beginning oday via Hatch+ subscribers on their Restore device. New episodes will be published weekly.

Mooallem has more than 20 years of experience working across film and audio including at Stitcher. At SiriusXM she was most recently Head of Podcast Programming; before that, she led content development, deal-making and acquisitions, and helped to build networks around shows. She previously had stints at The Orchard and Tribeca.
