Former “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Monica Garcia announces she had a miscarriage

"I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself," Garcia wrote on Instagram.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City breakout star Monica Garcia has revealed that she's recently suffered a miscarriage, a few weeks after announcing her pregnancy.

Garcia, who served one memorable season on RHOSLC, shared the sad news in an Instagram post.

"One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible," Garcia wrote. "I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do,"

She continued, "Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect, 'There is no heartbeat.' I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself. As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed."

Garcia initially announced her pregnancy earlier this month during an interview with Nick Viall on his podcast The Viall Files. She had just learned the news after going "into urgent care for something totally unrelated." This would've been the 39-year-old 's fifth child, and the first with her new boyfriend, whom she has yet to name publicly.

On Instagram, the mother of four thanked her doctors and her "incredible support system," and also sent "so much love to everyone dealing with miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in-between."

She added, "I am so blessed to have all of you in my corner and I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby. I love you and I’m so thankful for you."

Garcia rose to fame (or infamy depending who you ask) during her first, and probably last, season as a Housewife on the Salt Lake franchise after her fellow cast mates learned she had been running an Instagram account that had trolled them all in the past. After that bombshell, Garcia's future on the show was uncertain.
