Jason says he was well known and well respected as the Chief of Police in Stinnett, Texas, until a public social media post by his then-girlfriend, Cecily, went viral in January 2021. In a media interview, Cecily says she believed Jason was her boyfriend until she found out he was already married to a woman named Opal from a mutual friend. Jason adamantly denies Cecily’s claim that when she confronted him, he sent her a phony document to back up his false claim that his marriage to Opal had been annulled. She says she also found out about a second girlfriend, Kristi, and soon after, she made a public post about what she calls Jason’s “triple life.” Jason resigned from the police department. He was later arrested and charged with tampering with a governmental record with the intent to defraud. Since then, several other women have come forward to say they were either dating or talking to Jason online. Jason admits he cheated on Opal with multiple women and says he “misled” and lied to her “by telling her I was working undercover.” What does Jason say he said to Opal that convinced her to tell Cecily that they were no longer married?
