Former Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy is off to a fast start with his amateur MMA career as he collected his second consecutive knockout in only 96 seconds when he stopped Kenneth Woods at American Kombat Alliance: Rite of Passage 2 in Bossier City, La. on Friday night.

The troubled Pro Bowl defensive player has taken to his mixed martial arts career rather quickly and was impressive as he ran roughshod over Woods. It wasn’t quite as fast as his 32-second knockout of Joe Hawkins on Nov. 4, but just as dominant. Hardy wasted no time firing away with heavy strikes as Woods clearly wanted no part of what was coming at him. Woods turned his back and ran away from Hardy on several occasions until Hardy finally caught him with a kick and follow up punches that ended his opponent’s night.

Hardy started his MMA training last year and announced in October of 2016 that he’d pursue a career as a mixed martial artist. There has been a lot of attention on the former football player with his turbulent history with domestic violence and drug-use charges that forced him out of the league in 2015.
