Former couple Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Reunite For Thanksgiving

Former couple, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux celebrated Thanksgiving or 'Friendsgiving' together on Thanksgiving eve; two years after the couple split.

They celebrated with friends Courtney Cox, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Jimmy Kimmel.

“Very VERY thankful for these friends and these nights,” Theroux posted on his Instagram page. He hashtagged the post, #Fakesgiving.

The couple – who began dating in 2011, were married in 2015, separated in 2017, and finalized their divorce in 2019 – have remained close, despite their breakup. They’ve sent heartfelt messages to each other on social media. They were there for each other when a beloved pet passed away. And, now, they spent “Friendsgiving” together.

Celebrating 'Friendsgiving'

Jimmy Kimmel said in a statement, "On Thanksgiving, I cook a lot of stuff. The normal turkey, yams, sweet potatoes, the whole deal. But at your event, we have all of those things. So then, I’m making the same thing everyone had the night before, again. So, in essence, you’ve turned my meal into leftovers,” complained Jimmy.

The evening included plenty of turkey, enchiladas—per the request of Jimmy—and, naturally, some speeches. "Jen, I love you so much," Courtney began her toast before realizing the Leftovers star was capturing the moment on camera. "Justin, please stop recording me!"

Friends Don't Let Friends Not Be Together For The Holidays

Back in 2018, after nearly three years of marriage, Jen and Justin announced they were going their separate ways.

"This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year," the couple said in a statement to E! News at the time. "We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."

The two remained close friends ever since. In a statement to US Weekly, the couple elaborated on the reason to part ways.

“In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,” . “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."

Tis' The Season For Friendship

Justin posted a photo on his Instagram page of Jennifer Aniston with bullhorns above her head stating, "Happy Birthday to this fierce woman. Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind...and fiercely funny."

It's always fun to spend the holiday season with old friends. Fans of the couple are hoping Jen and Justin will reunite but that's unlikely to happen.

Back in July, the couple reunited to mourn the death of their beloved dog, Dolly with an intimate memorial. Dolly was rescued from an animal shelter.

Theroux quickly took on the role of the pup’s daddy.

“Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle… our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family,” the star wrote. “The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful… is the dog — faithful and true, even in death.”
