Rods at the ready, it’s time for a new season of Catfish: The TV Show. MTV’s iconic reality investigation series returns for Season 9 on Tuesday April 30 at 8/7c, TVLine has learned — and look, it appears we’ve also hooked ourselves an exclusive new trailer.

Nev Schulman and Kamie Crawford return as co-hosts of the 15-episode season, which aims to “uncover some of the most important, real-life stories to date including overcoming abuse, disease, racism, and more,” according to MTV, which also calls it “the season you’ve been baiting for.”

As revealed in the trailer, this season will also feature a special appearance by former Catfish co-host Max Joseph, who left the show in 2018 after seven seasons to focus on his filmmaking endeavors.

“Although I have a heavy heart, I am also excited for everything that’s to come for myself, for Nev, for our crew and for the show,” Joseph said at the time. “Thank you for watching, thank you for the love and for the memes.” Crawford then joined the show as Nev’s permanent co-host in Season 8.
