Artie Lange has a cheerleader in longtime friend and fellow former "Howard Stern Show" guest Dominic Barbara.
The two used to regularly appear on the program together, but both succumbed to drug abuse and addiction over the years. On Tuesday, Lange was arrested for skipping a court date related to a May arrest, during which he was driving erratically in New Jersey with a bag of heroin on his lap. Two days later, Barbara is attempting to reach out to his friend of two decades.
In an open letter published on Page Six, Barbara offers to fund treatment for Lange, 50, at the rehab program in which he's currently enrolled: "If you want to come, I will come get you and pay all your costs. Please save your life. You have a lot of people who love you. Dominic."

Lange's infamous falling out with Howard Stern himself culminated in 2009, when he appeared on the show strung out on heroin and fell asleep on air.
Earlier this year, Lange confirmed that he and Stern have definitely not made amends. "We hate each other's guts. It had a terrible ending," he said in February, adding that in rehab, "you know, they tell you, you lose friends."
During the same interview, Lange described himself as "a guy who overcame and is doing well."
However, fans began to wonder over the course of the year if Lange was truly out of the woods. He hasn't posted an Instagram since August, but in early December, he posted a selfie on Twitter that concerned at least one person enough to contact the police. New Jersey authorities checked in on the comedian, who later clarified online that he was "fine": "I'm so sorry I made [the police] deal with unimportant crap."
