Thanksgiving doesn't need to mean spending days in the kitchen. It also doesn't necessarily mean eating turkey and stuffing. You can enjoy the company of friends and family at some of metro Phoenix's top restaurants And you don't have to go for a turkey dinner either, since there are several restaurants offering their usual lineups of steak, seafood and the flavors of the Mediterranean coastline on T-day.

While most hotels will offer Thanksgiving feasts or buffets for a set price, this is the list for those looking for great restaurants where it will be business as usual on the holiday. Reservations are recommended, but even if a restaurant is booked up, you're likely to be able to snag a seat at the bar.Here's your guide to the best metro Phoenix restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.

Bourbon and Bones

This chef-driven steakhouse is open on Thanksgiving, serving its regular menu of steak and seafood along with 600 bourbons, whiskeys and Scotches.

Cala's menu, designed by Beau MacMillan and Peter McQuaid, is inspired by the Mediterranean coastline and includes the flavors of Greece, Spain, Italy and Morocco. The menu features housemade pastas, tamarind-braised lamb shank and flaming saganaki made with fried kasseri cheese, kalamata olive, lemon, housemade focaccia and Greek brandy.

Those who are craving an upscale steak dinner and a fun Cookies & Cream Popcorn Sundae can make reservations at Steak 44. The restaurant is offering a la carte menu for Thanksgiving.

Sol Mexican Cocina

Sol's menu is inspired by Baja coastal cooking and features Spanish octopus, ceviche, short ribs "barbacoa," tacos and quesadillas.

Southwest Bistro at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch

In addition to its regular menu, Southwest Bistro is also offering a three-course prix fixe Thanksgiving menu. So if you have a divided group of pro- and anti-turkey eaters, this is a good compromise. For the Thanksgiving feats first course, guests can choose between a butternut squash bisque or a winter greens salad with roasted green apples and candied pecans. The main course is turkey with stuffing, brown gravy, cranberry sauce, garlic mash and haricot verts. A vegetarian option is also available. Dessert is house-made pumpkin or apple pie with Chantilly cream, caramel and cinnamon.

Price: A la Carte menu prices vary. Thanksgiving meal is $60 for adults and $30 for children ages 12 and younger.
