Ciara is getting ready for the holidays this year by revealing some favorite family traditions in a new podcast called “Second Home.”

The singer (and spirits brand owner) is the featured guest on the inaugural episode of “Second Home,” a new podcast from real estate marketplace Pacaso, that features celebrities, athletes and entrepreneurs talking about “how they live an enriched life and the role their second home plays in it.”

While Ciara spends the majority of her time in Denver (where husband Russell Wilson plays for the Denver Broncos), the singer reveals the family likes to spend off-seasons at their “happy place” in San Diego, where they enjoy visits to the San Diego Zoo, the beach and date nights at the Hotel del Coronado.

“I always tell Russ: ‘Babe, I can live in a shack, as long as I’m living with you,'” Ciara shares, about how to make a second home feel special.

While the singer is still finalizing her holiday plans for the year, one thing is for certain: she’ll either be at the football stadium or glued to the TV set on Christmas Day, as Wilson’s Broncos take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL’s annual Christmas Day matchup. “[It’ll be] a little bit of football, a lot of food, surrounded by family,” Ciara tells Rolling Stone. “Nothing better!”

The “Better Thangs” singer says music is also a must for the holidays, adding that “my kids have been exposed to music since they were in my womb!”

“Music and dancing have always been a big part of making our home feel comfortable and fun,” she shares, “and we love to be silly and dance around the house. I’ve even been in the studio recording some of my albums while pregnant,” she continues. “[My kids] are my little A&R’s!”

As for hosting tips, Ciara says to “make sure you curate a great playlist before hosting an event or a dinner — the right music sets the tone and vibe for the evening.”

And whether you’re in your own place or a second address, Ciara says there are a few ways she makes every place feel like home. “I’m a southern girl so good food is important to me — I need a good pantry stocked with comfort food,” she says. “Also, having pictures around the house of family, friends and important moments throughout my life makes me feel warm and cozy.”

Ciara’s episode of the “Second Home” podcast is available to listen to now at Pacaso.com. In addition to the podcast, the site lets you browse hundreds of luxury listings that you can co-own, with Pacaso offering ⅛ to ½ ownership options. The properties are all professionally managed and Pacaso works with interested buyers on integrated financing options as well as resale.

The podcast, meantime, is hosted by Pacaso’s Senior Vice President of New Development Lucy Wohltman and Pacaso Chief Revenue Officer Andreas Madsen, who will also welcome guests like Eva Longoria, Jordyn Woods, Los Angeles Clippers’ John Wall, NFL quarterback Alex Smith, and fitness and wellness pioneer Tracy Anderson onto the show this season.
