(FOX40.COM) — Several restaurants in Placerville were featured in a new episode of a Food Network competition show produced by celebrity chef Guy Fieri on Friday.

FOX40’s parent company, Nexstar Media Group, is a co-owner of Food Network.

Foodieland returning to Cal Expo twice in 2024

“Guy Fieri dispatches his pal Noah Cappe along with acclaimed chefs Aarti Sequeira and Joe Sasto to check out the best restaurants in Placerville, California, where they explore options like barbecue, Roman cuisine, oysters, pub food and gold miner fare,” reads the network’s episode description. “The struggle is real as they make the tough decision on which dish to submit to a crowded city center showcase to determine the best bite in town.”

On “Best Bite in Town” Cappe and two guest chefs each select two local restaurants to try dishes from.

Cappe visited Enchanted Forest Dining Experience and Smith Flat House Cellar and Grill. Guest chef Sasto ate at Amore Mio Italian Bistro and Hog Wild BBQ. The other guest chef, Sequeira, tried out Placerville Public House and Rocker Oysterfeller’s Westside.

“Best Bite in Town”‘s first episode premiered earlier this month and featured several Davis eateries.
