Foo Fighters: 'Carpool Karaoke' with James Corden was uncomfortable

James Corden and the Foo Fighters took over a Guitar Center on “Carpool Karaoke” last month and put their all into belting out “Best Of You” and “All My Life.” Turns out, though, the band wasn’t having as much fun as you would think.

“By hour three in dude’s car it got less fun,” guitarist Pat Smear told NME, completely shattering our illusion of the popular segment. “It kinda went on. When we stopped at Guitar Center, that felt like we were done, but it was like, ‘This is halfway.’” Frontman Dave Grohl added to that sentiment, claiming that it was “a little uncomfortable.”

There’s no doubt that Corden is a huge music lover, though. “And he’s a very nice guy. But y’know, I don’t mind singing my own songs at Glastonbury or The O2, but if I had to sing you a song right now I’d be too embarrassed,” said Grohl.

The band also claimed to have sung along to The Ramones and Rick Astley, but are unsure why CBS didn’t use that footage.

Regardless, “Best Of You” still remains one of the best songs to belt out on a car trip.
