Fond du Lac's can't-miss events include the farmers' market and lots of live music

FOND DU LAC - From the Fond du Lac Farmers' Market to live music events, there’s plenty to see and hear in the coming week.

Young poets are invited to share their work during Thelma's Art of Spoken Word event.

Here are five can’t-miss events happening in the community this week.

The Downtown Fond du Lac Farmers' Market has passed the midway point of the season and there is lots of fresh produce to be found.

The market is open 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays on Main Street, from Forest to Western avenues.

More than 80 vendors sell fresh food and handmade items including plants, flowers, baked goods, meats, pottery and more.

The market is pet-friendly. Pets must be on a 6-foot or shorter leash, kept away from food items and owners must clean up after their pets.
