Fond du Lac can’t-miss events include Ridge Run, Golden Days Harvest Fest and Kelley’s Farmstead Fall Festival

FOND DU LAC - How many loops of the Ridge Run trail can you make in 60 minutes? Find out at Ziegler Winery's Sept. 23 event.

Families can check out the fall harvest events. Green Lake will celebrate all weekend with a car show and craft fair; and Kelley's Farmstead kicks off the season with a festival featuring old-fashioned farm activities.

Here are five can’t-miss events happening in the community this week.

1. Ziegler Winery hosts unique Ridge Run event

Ziegler Winery will host a Ridge Run from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 23. See how many loops of the trail you can make in one hour. The runner who completes the most loops wins.

A rest area will allow runners to stop and rest and drink refreshments.

The race will begin at 2 p.m. and an awards ceremony is at 3:15 p.m. Registration is $25 at fdlrc.org/ziegler-ridge-run.html, or beginning at 1 p.m. on race day.

Ziegler Winery is at W3953 Winnebago Heights Road, Malone.

2. Green Lake celebrates fall with Golden Days Harvest Fest

Golden Days Harvest Fest, hosted by the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, is set to take place Sept. 23 and 24.

A variety of venues in downtown Green Lake will host events including live music, a classic car show, bed races, a parade and children's activities.

Food and beverages will be available along with more than 100 vendors taking part in a craft fair.

In addition, the Thrasher Opera House will hold its annual Harvest of Bargains sale. The sale will run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the opera house in downtown Green Lake and at the Shoreline Boat Center, 540 Commercial Ave., Building 4. Each site will feature different items for sale.

3. Fall Festival features old-fashioned farm activities

Kelley's Farmstead will host its fifth annual Fall Festival Sept. 23. The event will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at N4149 Kelly Road.

There will be more than 25 old-fashioned farm activities to enjoy including a corn maze, giant slide, straw bale pyramid, checkers, barrel carts an obstacle course and many more. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Admission is $10 for activities only or $12 for activities and a pumpkin. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

The farmstead remains open Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 22.

4. Vendor Fair is Sept. 23 at Ledgerock Distillery

Ledgerock Distillery will host a Vendor Fair 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at N5287 Grandview Road. Admission is free.

Artisans and crafters, direct sales and farm-to-table vendors will offer their products for sale. Live music by Fred Ferguson will be from noon to 3 p.m. Food will be available starting at 11 a.m.

5. Lighthouse Big Band marks fall with free concert

Lighthouse Big Band is celebrating the arrival of cooler weather with a fall concert. The free “It's Autumn!” concert will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 26 at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts.

The concert will include well-known songs, but are new to the band’s lineup. It will include fan favorites and music from the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s.

The concert will be at Thelma’s Fountain City, 51 Sheboygan St.
