'We followed the Constitution': Raffensperger on facing Trump pressure

STORY: Raffensperger told the committee that he was “getting texts” from all over the country after his email address and phone number were doxxed.

“And then eventually my wife started getting the texts and hers typically came in as sexualized texts, which were disgusting,” Raffensperger said.

When asked why he didn’t give in to the pressure and quit, Raffensperger replied: “Because I knew that we had followed the law and we had followed the Constitution. And I think sometimes moments require you to stand up and, and just take the shots. You're doing your job. And that's all we did.”

The committee also heard a conversation between Raffensperger and former President Donald Trump where Trump can be heard pressing Raffensperger to find votes.

“So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes,” Trump can be heard saying. “Fellas, I only need 11,000 votes. Give me a break.”
