Foals Detail New Album, Share Video for New Song: Watch
Foals have detailed their second album of the year, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2. It’s out October 18 via Warner. They’ve also shared the music video for a new song called “Black Bull.” It’s directed by Niall O’Brien. Check it out below.
Foals released Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1 in early March. It recently made the Mercury Prize 2019 shortlist. Earlier this year, Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis said, “[The albums are] two halves of the same locket. They can be listened to and appreciated individually, but fundamentally, they are companion pieces.”
Phillippakis recently told NME, “Part 2 is a heavier listen; the guitars are more emphasized, and there’s some big riffs on it.” He continued, “It’s a rock record and it definitely carries on the narrative from Part 1. Part 1 ended with a lot of fire and destructive imagery; Part 2 is trying to respond to that: How you can continue in the wreckage and through the scorched earth?”
