Flying Lotus Announces New Flamagra Instrumentals Album

Flying Lotus has announced Flamagra (Instrumentals), a beats-only version of his most recent studio album Flamagra. It arrives May 29 and will also be released on a special 2xLP edition that comes with an “exclusive animated slipmat” designed by Winston Hacking and Drew Tetz. FlyLo recently made an appearance alongside Thundercat on Kimmel to play “Black Qualls.” Shortly after the release of Flamagra last year, he participated in Warp Records’ 30th anniversary celebrations by playing a mix of unreleased music on NTS Radio. He’s currently soundtracking a new Netflix anime called Yasuke, based on the story of history’s first black samurai.
