Experts said seniors are especially vulnerable to rising costs, because many of them are on a fixed income.

The new Inflation Reduction Act could provide some relief.

Starting next year, Medicare recipients will see free vaccines and capped insulin costs.

Annual out-of-pocket drug costs will also be capped at $2,000 by 2025.

“There are some real substantial improvements for Medicare beneficiaries, and they’re gonna see actual dollars in their pocket,” said Josh Hodges, chief customer officer for National Council on Aging.

As seniors wait on these changes to take effect, the National Council on Aging says older adults should explore other benefits.
