Florida Rapper 9lokkNine Arrested on Attempted Second-Degree Murder Charges

Last night (July 24), Florida rapper 9lokkNine was arrested in Orlando on charges of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm, the Orlando Sentinel reports and Pitchfork can confirm via Orange County, Florida records. The artist, born Jacquavius Dennard Smith, was also charged with shooting into an occupied structure and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was previously arrested on a concealed firearm charge in January 2020, according to Miami-Dade County records.

Pitchfork has reached out to Cash Money Records and Republic Records for further comment.
