"The Voice" has been found — and his hometown is in Florida!

Huntley was crowned the winner of Season 24 of "The Voice" on Tuesday night, receiving thunderous applause when his name was called by host Carson Daly.

The singer, whose real name is Michael Huntley, went head-to-head with singer Ruby Leigh for the title. Representing judge Niall Horan's team, the 33-year-old plowed through the whole season of “The Voice" with his powerful rock vocals.

“As soon as I got my name called, I was in shock,” Huntley said in an interview following the finale. “You know just how many nos I’ve gotten in my life, to get one yes was insane. “

The other season 24 finalists were Mara Justine, Lila Forde and Jacquie Roar.

Where in Florida is Huntley from?

Huntley originally hails from Spring Hill in Hernando County. An hour north of Tampa, Spring Hill is close to the Gulf of Mexico and is known for its outdoor attractions.

Not much is known about his life in Florida as he said he primarily grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia. According to his biography, he moved to Nashville briefly after two years of college but went back to Virginia and has been performing there since.

What genre of music does Huntley perform?

The singer-songwriter has been compared to multiple country rockers, such as Chris Stapleton, but he said his sound is more versatile.

“I would say I’m singer-songwriter country, definitely Southern blues rock ’n’ roll,” Huntley told The Free Lance–Star in 2022. “All my favorite types of music — a little bit of Joe Cocker, a little bit of John Mayer, a little bit of Bob Marley.”

According to Hollywood Life, Huntley released his debut single “Holdin On” in 2022. He’s also performed the original song “Fire & Flames” on Instagram.

All four judges hit their buttons to turn their chairs around during Huntley's performance of “She Talks to Angels” by The Black Crowes. Clad in his rockstar attire and signature long braids, the judges were fans from the start.

“I’m worried that you might win this show," Gwen Stefani told the singer during his Blind Audition, seemingly predicting the future.

To help him choose a coach, he brought his 6-year-old daughter, Stella, on stage. She chose Horan to be Huntley’s coach. Over the course of the show, Horan has built an authentic bond with the rock singer.

"Huntley is the kind of guy I’d hang out with anyway," Horan said during a finale prerecorded segment, to which Huntley jokingly replied, "After our contracts are over, we’re going to go pub golfing. And we’re going to have a good time."

What did Huntley perform on 'The Voice' finale?

Huntley joined musical forces with his coach Niall Horan for an acoustic cover of "Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door" by Bob Dylan. He took to the stage twice for a solo performance, singing Tom Odell’s “Another Love” and then closing the finale with a rockin' rendition of "Higher" by Creed.

Ahead of the finale, Huntley thanked those who have supported him on this journey.

“This is insane. So blessed and so grateful for everybody that has believed in me on this journey,” he wrote on Instagram. “Even though someone will be crowned a winner, we’ve all just been trying to create moments of genuine artistry and the amount of support from all over has meant so much to all of us.”

What does Huntley get for winning 'The Voice?'

According to American Songwriter, winners of The Voice receive a $100,000 prize and record deal with Universal Music Group.

The outlet also points out that the contestants form relationships with their coaches, so they now have a music industry veteran to go to for advice and further mentorship.
