Mar. 23----Epler's Church United Church of Christ, 1151 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, will have special music by Brian Gibson and the choir during its 10:30 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday. There will be an Easter egg hunt next Saturday at noon for all children up to and including fifth grade. An Easter Dawn service will be held at 6:30 a.m. at the Dry Dock Area at Blue Marsh Lake, including Holy Communion. A short time of fellowship will follow the service.

—Bausman United Church of Christ, 1064 Penn Ave., Wyomissing, will feature the Polished Brass at its Palm Sunday worship service at 9:15 a.m. with an extended prelude as well as other music throughout the service.

—The Palm Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will begin on the church portico with a palm blessing and live donkey. A procession will then take place around the church block and into the sanctuary. Experience Holy Week, an intergenerational event, will take place at 9:30 in the parish hall. There will be crafts, take-homes, pastor's chat, refreshments and visits with the donkey on the back lawn. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will be held at 7 p.m.

—St. John's Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, will hold its Maundy Thursday communion service on Thursday at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, there will be a combined service with Community Evangelical Church, 51 Green Valley Road, Lower Heidelberg Township, at 7 p.m.

—Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, 340 Moselem Church Road, Richmond Township, has scheduled the following Holy Week events: Maundy Thursday service with Holy Communion starting with a soup supper at 6 p.m.; Good Friday service starting with a soup supper at 6 p.m.; Easter egg hunt next Saturday at 1 p.m.; Easter Dawn service on March 31 at 6:30 a.m. with Holy Communion and a light lunch to follow; Easter service with Holy Communion on March 31 at 10:30 a.m.

—Professional pianist Ron Stabinsky will provide special music during the 9:30 a.m. Palm Sunday worship service at Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township. Maundy Thursday worship with Holy Communion will be held at 7 p.m.; Good Friday worship will be held at 7 p.m.

—Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will hold Coffee and Conversation at 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Welcome Center. There will be a Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. with Holy Communion and stripping of the altar. A Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1809 Hoffmansville Road, New Hanover Township, Montgomery County.

—St. John's Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will offer a free drive-through, take-out meal today from 4:30-5:30 p.m. No registration necessary. Holy Week worship: Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m.; Good Friday, 7 p.m.

—United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will have a Maundy Thursday supper with Holy Communion at 6:30 p.m. in Miller Fellowship Hall followed by a Tennebrae service in the sanctuary. There will be a prayer vigil on Good Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The Twenty-First Century Christian Women's Group will meet on Monday at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, a free community meal will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Bible studies are offered Tuesday mornings at 9 by Zoom and on Wednesday evenings starting on April 3 at 6:30 p.m. by Zoom and in person. —Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, will be hosting professional piano player Ron Stabinsky during the 9:30 a.m. Palm Sunday worship service.

—The choir and congregation of St. John's Gernant's Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant's Church Road, Ontelanunee Township, will have a Palm Sunday service with residents at Berks Heim, 1011 Berks Road, Bern Township, at 2 p.m. Bible study will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

—Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 S. Waverly St., Shillington, will feature the cantata "The Passion and the Promise" by Lloyd Larson and Mark Hayes, performed by a festival choir and 17 guest instrumentalists, during the 9 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday. Maundy Thursday will be held in Fellowship Hall starting at 6 p.m. with a simple meal of soup and salad followed by a service around the tables recalling Christ's last supper and the call to "love one another." The Good Friday service starts at 7 p.m. recounting Jesus' last day through special Tenebrae music. A brass ensemble will be featured during the 9 a.m. worship service on Easter Sunday, with Holy Communion.

—Allegheny United Church of Christ, 1219 Kurtz Mill Road, Brecknock Township, will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the confirmation of church member Jim Shipp after the 9 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday. Shupp was confirmed on March 27, 1949. A breakfast in his honor will be held in the church basement after the service. Youth musician Skyla Huyett, accompanied by Olive Weis, will sing "Mary, Did You Know?" during the service.

—People with special needs/IDD, their friends and family are invited to Bern Lutheran Church, 820 W. Leesport Road, Bern Township, on Tuesday for the Berks Festival of Faith free supper and worship. This month's supper will be prepared and served by members of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church , Kutztown. Supper is from 4:30-5:30 p.m.. The Holy Week worship service will begin at 5:45 p.m.

—Frieden's United Church of Christ, 337 Main St., Oley, will feature Vintage Brass Quintet and guest musician Teri Hoffman at its 10:15 a.m. Palm Sunday worship service. There will be a service on Maundy Thursday at 6 p.m. with a simple meal served before worship. The Good Friday service at 7 p.m. will have Debbie Weihold as guest musician.

—A joint Easter sunrise service with Mohrsville Church of the Brethren and Belleman's Church will be held next Sunday at 6:30 a.m. at Mohrsville Church of the Brethren, 1542 Shoey Road, Centre Township. Kurtis Rohrbach will deliver the message.

—Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Centre Ave., Reading, will have a Stations of the Cross service on Palm Sunday at 11:45 a.m. There are services on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday at noon and 7 p.m., and on Easter there is a free breakfast at 9 a.m. and one worship service at 10:30 that will include brass.

—Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township, will have an egg hunt today at 12:30 p.m., rain or shine. On Maundy Thursday, soup and worship begins at 6 p.m. Good Friday service is at 7 p.m.. On Holy Saturday, the sanctuary will be open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

—The Rev. Barry Spatz will be the guest pastor for the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Palm Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township. Social time follows the service.
