A 77-year-old man’s dream of becoming a Florida drug dealer has seemingly been foiled.

Reginald Odell Kincer of The Villages, an age-restricted community, could face time behind bars after federal prosecutors say he obtained over $1,800 in erectile dysfunction drugs without a prescription from a licensed physician.

The Florida resident allegedly had plans to sell the product, federal prosecutors said, the Associated Press reports.

“United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Reginald Odell Kincer (77, The Villages) has been charged by information with receipt of misbranded drugs in interstate commerce,” the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Florida, said in a press release on Sept. 15.

“If convicted, Kincer faces up to one year in federal prison and a fine of up to $10,000.”

Court records state that “Kincer had planned to redistribute these drugs to others locally and outside the State of Florida,” the statement continued.

The U.S. Attorney's Office maintained that at the time, the presented information was only considered to be allegations and that Kincer is innocent until proven guilty.

Assistant United States Attorney Hannah Nowalk was listed as a prosecutor for his case while the Homeland Security Investigations division would handle the investigation.

According to the charging documents, Snovitra-20, Vilitra 20, Cenforce 100, Vidalista 20, Tadalafil Tablets 20, Kamini Sildenafil Oral Jelly, and more drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction were found in Kincer’s possession on or about Oct. 18, 2018.

The Villages is Florida's largest retirement community and there is a myth that it is the "STD Capital of the U.S." However, the Tampa Bay Times published a report in 2022 that found it is not the case. According to the report, the three counties including The Villages tend to have lower rates of sexually transmitted diseases compared to Florida overall. The rate of older adults in one of those counties, Sumter County, was about one in 10,000 in 2019, compared to six in 10,000 seniors statewide, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
