The expectations for women in the entertainment industry are constantly under scrutiny. How females choose to do their skincare, makeup, body and haircare routines are always under the male gaze creating harmful false values and damaging beauty standards. We're grateful to strong voices like Selena Gomez and Florence Pugh, who aren't afraid to speak their minds regarding women and body image.

In Pugh's latest interview with Vogue, the cover star admitted that she was always fearlessly passionate about advocating for women and body image. "Body image for women is a major thing. From the moment you start growing in thighs, bums and boobs, everything starts changing and your relationship with food changes." The actor admits that her refusal to comply confused prominent Hollywood executives. "It was expected that you'd be on whatever diet you needed to be on and for me that was shocking because I'd never done that before." Pugh even said that she "put her foot down" in that aspect and we applaud her bravery.

Pugh admitted plainly in the feature, "I love food." And we hope these words of wisdom resonate with each and every girl beyond this edit. You are beautiful in all of your ways.
