Mari is a 13-year-old “Gen Z-er” from Flint, Michigan, who says she became an activist five years ago when she got involved with raising awareness – and money – to help provide safe, clean drinking water in her community.

“I just wanted to help and give back to my community because I really don’t like seeing people suffer,” says Mari.

To date, the teen has raised approximately half a million dollars, impacting over 25,000 children and adults.
