Flatulence Creates Awkward Moment on ‘SYTYCD’

On So You Think You Can Dance, the final five danced two routines with their all-star partners, including one in which the kids took over. The contestants were in charge of picking their music, costumes, and choreography.

Ten-year-old contestant J.T. Church moved Robert Roland, his dance partner, to tears when he taught him their dance routine done to Bruno Mars’s “You Can Count On Me.” However, Robert added a little something extra during their performance.

Host Cat Deeley noticed the two giggling and whispering, and when she asked J.T. what they were talking about, the boy pointed at his mentor and admitted, “He just farted.”

Roland, caught in an awkward moment, replied “sometimes it happens. He [J.T.] was doing it all backstage.”

The interaction had head judge Nigel Lythgoe momentarily flabbergasted. Curious, Lythgoe asked “was it the big throw in the end? The big split?”

The silent but deadly misfire didn’t cost the duo any points, as they received glowing reviews from the judges. J.T. and Robert move on to the final four, as 12-year old hip-hop dancer Tahani Anderson was eliminated at the end of the show.

So You Think You Can Dance airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Is this the Big Brother final four?
