Flash Garments Shares The Origin Of Swerve Strickland Signature Shoe

New AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland teamed up with Flash Garments to create his own signature shoe.

The shoe was announced late last month, although no release date has been announced just. It was made in collaboration with Swerve Strickland, Flash Garments and Mache, and he is one of the first wrestlers to get their own signature shoe.

Swerve Strickland and Flash Garment recently appeared on the Wrestling With Freddie podcast. They spoke to Freddie Prinze Jr, where Garment revealed the origin of Swerve’s signature shoe.

“The origin of this shoe, it all came from, like, when we first started talking about it was a while ago. It was like turnbuckle.Like the material of, like, the green and stuff like that. But then I was like, I wanted pieces of me in it. And when I was designing it, the little majority of the shoe was all about Swerve and his style of things and the colors he likes to wear and his military background with this type of material that’s here. And then you got the flashiness with my name. Flash Garments, with the gator.”

“It’s vegan, you know. You got to make sure it’s vegan. But yeah, we got the vegan. Then we got the Garments logo here. My logo. Then we got Swerve Strickland logo here. And Mache was the guy who put it all together and simplified my design. He’s the designer who put the whole thing together. So, Mache is like a shoe customizer, but he ended up making his own silhouette. And then I reached out to him. He was like, ‘It would be dope if we did it together,’ and he was… I told him about Swerve, but he didn’t know anything.”
