Flash Flooding Swamps Section of I-70 in Missouri
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall affected parts of Missouri in the early hours of Tuesday, July 26, with localized amounts exceeding nine inches, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
Video filmed by Jerome Smith shows a flooded section of Interstate 70 in St Peters in the early hours of Tuesday.
The NWS said thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall would continue to train over sections of central and east-central Missouri, as well as southwest Illinois, into the morning. Credit: Jerome Smith via Storyful

JEROME SMITH: Interstate-70 just outside of St Louis. St Peters, Missouri, Ova Road is completely flooded.
You can see there's a couple cars out there floating around.
The crazy thing is that the road right here next to, it's just all, it's all boxed in. There's nowhere for the water to go.
Kind of want to pull out and spin around and drive back. But got no guarantee that the other side is clear to be able to do that. So yeah.
