Flagship City Food Hall welcomes Taco Cabana from owners of CheesErie. What's on the menu?

Tacos are having another moment. The red-hot trendy Latin American staple has a new player on the scene in the Flagship City Food Hall, 22 N. Park Row.

"We've been wanting to expand for a couple of months," said Taco Cabana owner and operator Kalea Anderson who also owns CheesErie, a food truck turned Food Hall occupant. "We have an opportunity available to us to expand our menu, too."

CheesErie will continue to serve its current, all-cheese, all-the-time menu, including sandwiches, paninis, cheese fries, macaroni and cheese, nachos and more. The adjacent Taco Cabana will serve burritos, quesadillas, bowls, tacos, nachos, freshly made pico de gallo, corn salsa and other homemade salsas and guacamole.

They're opening Monday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will be open the following Mondays, 11 a.m. to 2:30. Taco Cabana will be open 11 a.m. to 8 pm. Tuesdays through Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We'll be one of the three places open on Sundays," in the Food Hall, she said.

While they are cross training employees to work both stalls, and they are hiring, the restaurants are separate concepts with their own menus, Anderson said.

CheesErie has been in the Food Hall since Nov. 1, transitioning from a food truck which she and her husband started in 2021.

"The Erie Downtown Development Corp. is thrilled about the newest addition to Flagship City Food Hall," said Mark Inscho, the food and beverage manager for the EDDC. "It's yet another great option for lunch and dinner to Flagship City Food Hall."
