‘Our Flag Means Death’ Returns To Max: Here’s How To Watch Season 2 Online

Set sail for the high seas! Max’s swashbuckling romantic comedy “Our Flag Means Death” returns for season 2 on Oct. 5, a year-and-a-half after season 1 wrapped.

The streaming service has debuted the new season’s first three episodes and will continue to release episodes two at a time every Thursday throughout the month of October.

Created by David Jenkins and executive produced/directed by Taika Waititi, “Our Flag Means Death” follows gentleman-turned-pirate-captain Stede Bonnet and his on-again-off-again relationship with Blackbeard. After putting his past behind him, Bonnet seeks to rescue his crew and reunite with his former-lover, who has taken over his former-ship, The Revenge.

The comedy also stars Con O’ Neil, Vico Ortiz, Samson Kayo, Matthew Maher, Ewen Bremner, Joel Fry, Nathan Foad and others. Guest stars for 2023, include Minnie Driver, Bronson Pinchot, Rachel House, Leslie Jones and more.

Meanwhile, Max renewed “Our Flag Means Death” a few months after its first season finished, thanks to its impressive streaming numbers and mostly positive reviews. In her review, Variety TV critic Caroline Framke penned that the “most interesting thing about ‘Our Flag Means Death’ — if also what might disappoint fans hoping for something more patently ridiculous — becomes how it ends up more gently introspective than outright funny in its hunt for comic treasure.”
